Mission Statement

Promote happiness and healing by bringing canine friendship to those in need.

We are the PAWS for LOVE Pet Therapy Group, based in Reno, Nevada and we visit local hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities providing companionship and unconditional love to people of all ages

Our reading program, PAWS to READ, helps local children develop a love of reading by providing dogs to read to at libraries, schools, and community centers.

Activities

  • PAWS for LOVE participates in different local community activities throughout the year.
  • Group members and their dogs have marched in the City of Sparks Christmas Parade and the City of Reno Veteran's Day Parade.
  • PAWS for LOVE has setup informational booths at the Lockett & Sullivan Spring and Fall Home Shows, as well as the Nevada Humane Society Mutt Strut at the Sparks Marina.
  • Other member activities have included group gatherings, picnics, and potlucks to share experiences and to have fun. View photos of past events and activities.
